The last meeting of our W I was in March just before Lockdown and as with all other groups we have tried to keep in touch with each other.We haven’t been able to use the Hall but have managed to meet in small groups of 6 in members gardens during the summer.
We even manage to deliver Afternoon tea, courtesy of Ullesthorpe Court Hotel, to each group in September.
The committee send out weekly newsletters and are using Zoom we kept in touch especially with the Book Club.
Some members have been busy making headbands to help with PPE, bags for nurses’s change of clothing and even knitting hats for premature babies.
We joined in the Ullesthorpe Scarecrow event producing four excellent specimens one representing the President!!
We will continue keeping in touch and are building up an album of photos of activities and meetings for a Lockdown Scrapbook.
Let’s hope we can start meeting in the Spring.
