Coronavirus in Ullesthorpe
Residents of Ullesthorpe have reacted quickly to the Coronavirus pandemic. A network of volunteers have offered help to people who are isolating and unable to carry out their normal activities. Volunteers are willing to do shopping, collect prescriptions, post mail or maybe walk the dog.
A leaflet giving details of the volunteers in your area was delivered on Sunday 22nd March. If you did not receive a leaflet call 01455 697474. If you have a leaflet then call one of the contacts named on the leaflet.
If you know of someone who needs help please call one of the contacts on your leaflet or 01455 697474
The volunteers have divided the village into the following areas. Click on the relevant area to see the volunteers covering that area:
A: Ashby Road
E: South Avenue
I: Orchard Walk
Volunteer card/Voucher scheme
You may already be aware, but ASDA, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and M&S now offer a volunteer card/voucher scheme. These can be purchased online by residents who are self-isolating and given to their family, friends or volunteers who are helping them with shopping. These are available to purchase online so won’t be an option for all of our residents. However, it’s a good way to safeguard both residents and volunteers where possible as these are cashless transactions and avoid the need to share bank cards/details etc. More details can be found on the supermarket websites:
